Honma’s new Beres Black and Beres Aizu clubs takes the super premium, game improvement category to a new level thanks to their combination of game-enhancing technology, high quality materials, modern construction and luxury finishes.
The eye-catching BLACK design embodies the power and purity of the clubs, while building on the positive reaction to the limited-edition range launched earlier this year. For the first time in the European golf market, several variations of hand-painted, lacquered Japanese art patterns feature on the clubheads of the Aizu woods and irons designed to appeal to both men and women golfers with an eye for aesthetics.“Everything feels and looks special the moment you hold a Beres club in your hands and these stunning new choices of Black and Aizu take super premium clubs to the next level,” said Tony Scott, Head of Marketing at Honma Golf Europe. “From the best-in-class technologies to the beautiful and exquisitely detailed aesthetics, plus the powerful simplicity of design, every detail has been addressed to deliver an unrivalled set of golf clubs that helps to define the player and enhance their game.
“Beres represents both the strength and beauty of golf – a game where choosing the right equipment is paramount. That’s why Honma craftsmen have placed a great focus on the unparalleled technology applied to the new Black and Aizu models. We’re confident that golfers will elevate their play and status when using these exceptional clubs.”
The BERES drivers are the first Honma designs to feature the cutting-edge L-CUP face structure that increases the initial ball speed for more distance, plus enlarges the sweet spot area for improved forgiveness. The innovative club face works in synergy with the radial structure of the ultra-lightweight crown and low center of gravity to deliver a high launch and low spin for longer carries.Another new performance technology in the latest BERES woods incorporates a Triple Sole Slot that further delivers increased ball speeds off the club face, plus a high gear effect on off-center strikes for straighter shots.
The Fairway Woods also feature the Triple Sole Slot, plus a CG flow construction designed independently to each metal wood. This ensures a highly desirable trajectory and optimal spin is achieved for unrivalled performance.Offering similar performance enhancing properties, the Utility club features a low CG design and weight positioning for each loft to achieve a strong trajectory without losing distance.

Beres Aizu range features an intricate Japanese decal design on the crown

The Beres irons have been designed to deliver high launching, straight trajectories offering the ultimate forgiveness. A wide 3D L-CUP structure and Sole Slots increase the ball speed, while a newly constructed club face features reduced thickness and vertical slits that reinforce the impact area for greater strength and durability.

New to the BERES collection, the hand rolled ARMRQ MX shaft is constructed in harmony with club heads in the same Sakata factory in northern Japan to ensure the tightest tolerances are achieved for greater impact consistency. To reinforce the butt section, it features the newly developed 10-axis sheet – consisting of a four-axis aluminum and six-axis carbon material in the butt of the shaft – plus the revolutionary T1100G material to deliver more speed and accuracy, as well as a counterbalanced feel.

Defining uncompromising quality and richness, the striking Beres Black collection has been crafted in a design that conveys undeniable luxury. Incorporating the highest performing components associated with the superb BERES quality, the clubs mirror the deepest black look to draw the eye and ensure golf can be played with greater confidence.

Inspired by traditional Japanese craft and heritage, the aesthetics of BERES AIZU provide a genuine wow factor. The beautiful decorations applied to the clubs are based on the traditional Aizu lacquer craft that originates from the Fukushima prefecture in northern Japan, close to the HONMA factory in Sakata. An intricately painted decal has been applied across the crown of the AIZU collection woods and the back of the irons, providing an exclusive look that will dazzle playing partners and display Japanese craftsmanship and attention to detail in abundance.

In the Men’s BERES BLACK and AIZU ranges, the driver comes in three lofts [9.5°/10.5°/11.5°]; Fairway Woods #3 (15°), #5 (18°) & #7 (21°); Utilities #3 (19°), #4 (22°), #5 (25°) & #6 (28°); and Irons (#5/#6-#11, AW, SW).
