Sentry Tournament of Champions odds: Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas co-favorites for 2022 opener

News

And just like that, PGA Tour golf is back with the 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions, held annually on the Plantation Course at Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii. The tournament that serves as the official turning of the page to a new season once again has a star-studded field of PGA Tour winners from 2021.

Most notably among them is Phil Mickelson, who is playing in the event for the first time since 2001 (!!). Thanks to his PGA Championship win, Mickelson gained entry into the field, though he’s won countless other times in the past two decades and opted to skip the event entirely.

At 125-1, Mickelson is a longshot to win in this loaded field of 39 players. Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas, World No.’s 1 and 8, are co-favorites at 8-1, though Rahm is even shorter by himself elsewhere. Two-time major winner Collin Morikawa checks in shortly after at 10-1, with Hero World Challenge winner Viktor Hovland close behind him at 12-1.

Here are all the odds for the players at this week’s 2022 Sentry Tournament of Champions:
