American Express 2022 odds: Jon Rahm is showing up, which means he’s a hefty favorite

News

Considering the level Jon Rahm has played at over the last two seasons, it should come as no surprise that he’s the solo favorite in every tournament he enters. Unless prime-Tiger Woods shows up, the Spaniard will continue to command that type of respect from oddsmakers.

This week is no different, as Rahm is the clear solo favorite at the American Express, the site of his second PGA Tour victory in 2018. On Monday, the World No. 1 opened at 6-1 to win the event for a second time.

Patrick Cantlay, who has been on similarly scorching hot tear over the last year, checks in next on the odds board at 9-1. The California native has yet to win this tournament, but he’s gone T-9/solo second in his last two trips.

Like Cantlay, Scottie Scheffler and Tony Finau both have very strong records at the AMEX, though they both have yet to win it either. Scheffler is at 16-1, while Finau is at 20-1.

Here are the odds for each player in the 2022 American Express field:
