Brooks Koepka returns to TPC Scottsdale to defend his 2021 WM Phoenix Open title. The Floridian will have to battle an extremely strong field that includes World No. 1 Jon Rahm, two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson and 2020 Ryder Cup teammates Xander Schauffele, Jordan Spieth and Tony Finau. 2021 FedExCup winner Patrick Cantlay will be making his debut performance at TPC Scottsdale, buoyed by his impressive T4 finish at last week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Hideki Matsuyama will be hoping to join an elite group of players to have won three WM Phoenix Open titles after winning back-to-back in 2016 and 2017. The 2021 Masters champion has had a tremendous start to the year, winning the Sony Open in Hawaii and will be looking to continue his good form in Arizona this week. Other names to look out for include World No. 3 Viktor Hovland, who secured victory at the Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic in January 2022 and 2017 PGA Championship winner Justin Thomas.
