The 29-year-old Colombia native, who calls the Dallas area home, sits at 21 under for the tournament, one stroke up on Jordan Spieth, another Dallas-area resident. Munoz is seeking his second career PGA Tour win but has some history he’ll have to overcome to do it. This is the fourth time that Munoz is tied or in the outright lead entering the final round of a tour event. In the three previous starts, he has never broken 70 and won just once—the 2019 Sanderson Farms.
Moreover, in the 29 events so far this season, just 10 have been won by the 54-hole leader, Jon Rahm the last to accomplish the feat at the Mexico Open. So … no pressure Bassy.
Making it a challenge are the guys chasing Munoz. There’s Spieth just one back while Joaquin Niemann is two shots off the lead. They are followed by James Hahn and Justin Thomas, who are both three off the lead.
The eventual winner will take home a prize money payour of $1.638 million from an overall purse of $9.1 million. Here’s the prize money payouts for each golfer at TPC Craig Ranch. Come back shortly after the tournament and we’ll update the prize money payout for each golfer.
