Hole 16 | The 149th Open at Royal St George’s

Videos
16th – The original green was on the site of the current 9th green, the 16th hole then being played blind from a tee to the left of the 15th green. The current 16th featured the first hole in one captured on live television by Tony Jacklin in 1967, in the Dunlop Masters tournament. More recently the bunker to the right of the green became known as ‘Bjorn’s Bunker’ following his double-bogey demise there when leading the 2003 Open Championship.
