6th – Named by Laidlaw Purves as ‘The Maiden’, because of the shape of the dune to the left of the green resembling the ‘Jungfrau’ in Switzerland.

Originally played as a blind green, hitting over the ‘Maiden’ from tees to the right of the current 5th fairway.
