As most of you know, the driver requires a shallower arc with the club catching the ball on the up swing. This means if the vertical part of our downswing much sooner than with the irons we stand a better chance of creating those impact conditions – but for that to happen it necessarily requires us to also “drop” or shift much sooner as well.
