The LONGEST hole at The Open | Record Breakers

Videos
Long holes on the tour may look simple when you watch world-class golfers, but there are some that even scare the very best. The 14th at St Andrews is Long by name and terrifyingly long in nature.

In 2010 the 14th was 618 yards and broke the record for the longest hole in Open history!

But it wasn’t only the length that posed a challenge, players had to avoid getting in stuck in tricky bunkers, the most difficult being the infamous ‘Hell Bunker’.

The Open Championship has seen many try and few succeed in escaping the Long hole with their scorecard in good shape. See for yourself a handful who conquered the 14th at The 139th Open with varying levels of success.
