Two-time Open Champion Padraig Harrington | Five of the Best shots | The Open

Videos
Padraig Harrington has been a crowd favourite for many years at The Open.

The Irishman has won two Open titles, making him a rare breed in the history of the Open – even rarer that they came back to back.

Only a handful of players of successfully defended the Claret Jug, including Tiger Woods (2005 and 2006) and Tom Watson (1992 and 1993), and Harrington added to that list in 2007 and 2008.

First Harrington beat Sergio Garcia in a play-off at Carnoustie before keeping Ian Poulter at bay in 2008 at Royal Birkdale. His Open titles are two of his three major triumphs.

Harrington has wowed the crowds on a number of occasions at The Open and here we have picked five of his best shots from the archive.
