A practice drill to improve your ball striking

Lessons
I was given a nice drill to practise during a recent golf lesson, something to help me square the clubface at impact without flipping my hands! It’s to get rid of a bad habit I’ve developed over many years, and I’ve explained how this can happen with you think you’re in the 4th stage of developing a skill – unconscious competence.

My lesson was with a great guy called Mark Johnson, who teaches at Styal Golf Club near Manchester Airport in the UK.

Also, check out a reference to an 80s hit called “Shut uppa your face” by Joe Dolce. Once it’s in your head it will be hard to remove – like my bad swing habit!
