Here’s the prize money payout for each golfer at the 2022 Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio

News

Lydia Ko’s career resurgence continued on Sunday at the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio. With a closing 69 at Boca Rio Golf Club in Boca Raton, Fla., the 24-year-old New Zealander held off Danielle Kang by a shot, winning the second event of the 2022 LPGA season with a 14-under 274 total.

The victory was Ko’s 17th of her career, and her second in nine months after going nearly three years without a title. Since winning again last April at the LOTTE Championship, she’s played 17 events and posted nine top-10 finishes.

Ko took a two-shot lead into the final round only to see the advantage disappear in the first three holes thanks to a bogey on the second hole and a Kang birdie on the third. That was the last blemish on Ko’s scorecard, however, as she made three back-nine birdies to pull away despite finishing the day hitting just seven of 14 fairways.

With her victory, Ko claimed a prize money payout of $300,000 from the overall purse of $2 million. That gives Ko $12,668,796 for her career, allowing her to pass Se Ri Pak for ninth on the all-time LPGA money list.
