How to watch the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind

News

We’ll try to take a break from the LIV Golf drama in order to dive into the FedEx Cup Playoffs starting this week at TPC Southwind. The FedEx St. Jude Championship kicks things off with 121 of the 125 eligible players competing in Memphis. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, defending champ Tony Finau and Open Championship winner Cameron Smith highlight a standout field trying to see if they can play well enough to ultimately win the $18 million FedEx Cup grand prize at East Lake in three weeks.

Can anyone take down 2021 FedEx Cup winner Patrick Cantlay? No golfer has ever won the title in back-to-back years since the playoffs inception in 2007. Meanwhile, just three times has the No. 1 seed entering the playoffs closed things out to win the FedEx Cup: Tiger Woods in 2007 and 2009 and Jordan Spieth in 2015. Not sure if this is good news or bad news for Scheffler? We’ll find out soon.

Golf Channel will carry live coverage from TPC Southwind on Thursday and Friday from 3-7 p.m. EDT. On Saturday and Sunday, Golf Channel will carry live coverage from 12-2 p.m with NBC finishing each day from 2-6 p.m.
